Scar stories
I love hearing about bumps and bruises. They make people more human and characterize where they were when the mark occurred. Beyond a string around your finger or a note written on your hand, they are reminders of what we were and where we came from.
I have quite a beauty of a scar on my neck, and it will always remind me of what I’ve gone through (illness) and what I have to live for.
My week in jury duty.
The past week I was a little tied up because of jury duty. It was one of the most intense things I’ve ever been through.
I’m trying to find the words to describe the entire experience, but they aren’t coming as fast as I’d like.
Let me put it this way: The charge was first degree rape and the victim was a 29-year-old mentally challenged woman with cerebral palsy.

Essay/Podcast: To understand why he’s doing what he’s doing, you need to understand his motivations better.
Some good insights beyond the “clash of the titans” or ”David vs. Goliath” narratives we’ve been seeing a lot of.

The obvious answer is to cut Jay Leno loose and give back the 10 PM slot to hour long dramas, which incentivizes people to actually turn in to Conan’s Tonight Show at 11:30. RIght now, Leno eats into Conan’s numbers and leaves both shows underachieving in the ratings.
